We're asking Southern Californians to urge our Members of Congress to honor this anniversary by co-sponsoring H.Res.317, the Back from the Brink resolution, which calls on the United States to lead the world back from the brink of nuclear war.

• pursue the global elimination of nuclear weapons through a verifiable international agreement; renounce the first use of nuclear weapons;

• end sole presidential authority to launch nuclear weapons;

• cancel the planned replacement of the U.S. nuclear arsenal with enhanced weapons.
