Physicians and other health professionals are among our most trusted public health experts and advocates. Over the years, PSR-LA has trained and convened thousands of health professionals across Los Angeles and Southern California as advocates for environmental justice and nuclear abolition in the communities they serve. And now YOU can be part of this legacy! We welcome medical doctors, nurses, public health workers, retirees, medical students, and other allied healthcare professionals.
PSR-LA’s Membership Program is an opportunity to use your voice and influence to build transformative movements for environmental justice and nuclear abolition. Many of our members work alongside community advocates to engage in direct policy advocacy with legislators, decision-makers, and the media. Join as a general member or a Health Ambassador and support our mission to protect public health and foster a regenerative economy.
As a PSR-LA member, you will have access to information on our campaigns, be invited to specialized trainings and networking opportunities, and have opportunities to take action.

Health Ambassador Program
The Health Ambassador Program (HAP) is designed for members who want to deepen their commitment to environmental health and social justice advocacy. Through the program, PSR-LA provides ongoing support, resources, and professional development opportunities that strengthen health professionals’ capacity to serve as effective advocates.
Health Ambassadors are part of a strong network of committed health professionals and community advocates prepared to take action in support of PSR-LA’s mission. We engage them in direct policy advocacy with legislators and decision-makers, participate in media and public education efforts, and support community-centered environmental health campaigns.
To become a Health Ambassador, members must fulfill several requirements.
