Transitioning Toward
Energy Justice

Access to energy is a fundamental human right. We recognize that clean and affordable energy is pivotal in reducing poverty, creating opportunities, addressing climate change, and enhancing public health and living standards. To achieve energy justice, it is crucial to confront both past and present energy challenges, centering frontline communities in breaking the cycle of environmental injustices. In order to achieve energy justice, we must not only address climate emissions but the whole range of pollutants emitted from our energy systems.

PSR-LA seeks to foster a world where clean energy is accessible to everyone. Central to our mission is the decentralization of energy sources and a shift away from polluting IOU (Investor-Owned Utility) monopolies. Instead, we advocate for community-controlled energy systems that rely on clean, renewable, and affordable energy sources, not greenwashed, false solutions that are extensions of the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our goal is to transition away from polluting energy generation through a holistic approach to create healthy and pollution-free environments where people live, work, and play.
