Come out to help ban BPA in baby bottles and formula in California! Please join Senator Fran Pavley, Environmental Working Group, Breast Cancer Fund and Physicians for Social Responsibility – Los Angeles for this exciting event in support of The Toxics-Free Babies and Toddlers Act (SB 797):

Many baby bottles contain the toxic chemical Bisphenol-A (BPA) which has been linked to early puberty, childhood obesity, breast cancer and neurological and behavioral changes, including autism and hyperactivity. Sen. Pavley’s SB 797 would ban BPA in food and beverage containers designed for children 3 years and younger.

Thanks to Green to Grow, the first 1,000 arents who bring in an old baby bottle can swap it for a new BPA-free bottle. The event will also feature Harvey Karp, world-renown ed pediatrician and author of “The Happiest Baby on the Block.” Amy Smart, Actor and Environmental Advocate will also be speaking, along with Dr. Linda Tigner-Weekes, Chief Medical Officer at St. John’s Well Child & Family Center.
