Many thanks to our renewing and
first-time members who gave during the
annual giving campaign. Your support
helped us to achieve our goal of hiring a
peace organizer. Paul Kawika Martin
joined PSR-LA in February and has
played a strong role in the peace and
security movement in Los Angeles.
In our winter newsletter we asked that
you make a New Year’s resolution to get
involved with PSR-LA. As a result, two
new volunteers, Anne Kuester and James
Mayer, M.D., have offered to help in the
office and work the phones in our next
donor campaign. Physicians Don and
Judy Broder have hosted our global security
board committee meetings. Several
requests were received from churches and
community groups for our Speakers
Bureau presentations, The Health Impacts
of War and Nuclear Threats 2002, and
three members volunteered to join our the
Bureau and give those presentations: Don
Broder, M.D.; Maurine Doerken; and
Lakshmi Lambert, L.Ac. PSR-LA
extends its gratitude for their help.
