Dr.
Dr. Michael O’Malley is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, then completed an internship at LA County Hospital, a family practice residency at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, and an occupational medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine. His other training includes a Masters of Public Health in epidemiology from University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health and a fellowship in epidemiology at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, assigned to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
He currently works as the Medical Director at the Occupational Health Service for UC Davis. As part of his work, he also serves as a medical consultant to California Department of Pesticide Regulation. He has worked with that department’s pesticide illness registry program since 1987. He is board certified in occupational medicine and in family practice.
