LA Health and Climate Symposium: Advancing Healthy and Resilient Communities In A Changing Environment
Climate change has the potential to cause widespread injuries and death related to natural disasters, displacement, heat-related illnesses, malnutrition, and air and water pollution. PSR-LA co-organized a symposium on April 30th, 2010 titled, Los Angeles Health and Climate: Advancing healthy and resilient communities in a changing environment.
PSR-LA Featured in Two Reports on Reproductive and Environmental Justice
Using the twin lenses of environmental justice and reproductive justice, PSR-LA is a featured group that is finding new ways to connect, frame, communicate, and organize around the issues that matter most to communities. This approach is creating new alliances, political opportunities, and concrete wins.
PSR-LA Working With the Coalition for Environmental Health and Justice
The Coalition for Environmental Health and Justice (CEHAJ) has been engaged in the community stakeholder proceedings of the I-710 Long Beach Freeway Corridor (local and state officials propose to expand the freeway) since 2001.
