Giovanna Tyndale

Air Quality Program Assistant

Giovanna is working with PSR-LA through AmeriCorps’ Public Allies program to assist with coordinating, logistics, and community outreach for Air Quality and Toxics, specifically AB 617 and SCLA-PUSH. As a recent graduate from the University of Virginia, Giovanna looks forward to using her background in Anthropology and Bioethics to build community outreach and learn more about social justice in the non-profit realm. Giovanna has always had a passion for health education and providing information as well as resources to overlooked communities; her post-grad goals consist of finding ways to uplift and advocate for communities whose voices are not often heard.

As a Black woman with Puerto Rican and Jamaican roots, Giovanna is driven to empower Black and Brown communities with education regarding health and well-being. She loves connecting with others from diverse backgrounds and learning from those who are different from her.

Giovanna plans to obtain a Master’s degree in Public Health in the near future. Giovanna is a major foodie so her favorite things to do in LA consist of trying new food spots; specifically finding the best Boba! Giovanna loves going to the beach with friends and family to reset, and enjoys running and hiking.
