Sidel-Levy Award for Peace Given to Farideh Kioumehr-Dadsetan D.V.M., M.P.H., Dr.PH

class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-867″ title=”Farideh Kioumehr-Dadsetan D.V.M., M.P.H., Dr.PH” src=”https://www.psr-la.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/farideh_kiouhmer_web.jpg” alt=”Farideh Kioumehr-Dadsetan D.V.M., M.P.H., Dr.PH” width=”225″ height=”315″ />PSR-LA Peace and Security Ambassador Farideh Kioumehr-Dadsetan D.V.M., M.P.H., Dr.PH, was awarded the American Public Health Association’s first Sidel-Levy Award For Peace this past fall. This award is given to public health professionals who make great contributions toward promoting international peace and stopping war. As an epidemiologist and public health advocate, Dr. Kioumehr-Dadsetan founded the International Health and Epidemiology Research Center, which is dedicated to reaching out to parents and children about the dangers of playing with toy guns. She has organized the Anti-Violence Campaign and Peace Day events to spread gun-violence awareness throughout the country and world. Dr. Kioumehr-Dadsetan is also the President and Chief Executive of American Medical Imaging Center in Glendale and Chief Executive of 21st Century Medical Imaging Center in Burbank. PSR-LA is very proud of Dr. Kioumehr-Dadsetan and her wonderful accomplishment.
