PSR-LA Refines Mission, Goals

In January, PSR-LA staff held a retreat
to refine and articulate our core programs,
goals and objectives for the coming year.
After two days of facilitated discussion, a
new organizational mission statement and
specific goals and
objectives for the
next 18 months
were articulated.
Staff also decided
to propose forming
two board of
directors committees
to better
organize the program
areas. These
two committees
are dubbed “The
Lasting Global
Security
Committee” and
“The Public
Health and
Environmental
Justice
Committee.” The
proposals were
subsequently approved by the board of
directors in January 2003 and have now
been adopted officially by PSR-LA. So
without further delay, PSR-LA presents to
its member the new mission statement,
and the current goals and objectives of
each committee for the coming years.
