Keep Coal and Nuclear Subsidies Out of the Stimulus Package

While the need to move forward with an economic stimulus plan is evident, billions of dollars in the Senate draft for the stimulus package – The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – will be wasted on dirty and dangerous energy sources, particularly coal and nuclear power.

Tell your Senate members to strip unnecessary federal subsidies for coal and nuclear power out of the stimulus package. The Congress needs to support clean renewable energy programs to protect American’s health and move away from dirty and dangerous energy sources.
