Stopping the War

Iraq CiviliansPSR-LA promotes diplomatic solutions to international conflicts ensuring policy makers and the public have accurate and timely information about the public health consequences of national security decisions. In doing so, we address the medical and psychological consequences of war on both civilian populations and American troops. PSR-LA has been a leading voice in Southern California against the war in Iraq. In October, 2006, we hosted a national conference “The Medical Consequences of the War in Iraq: Health Challenges Beyond the Battlefield.” The conference addressed the effects of the Iraq war on Iraqi citizens and their families as well as American troops and their families. Take a look at the conference speaker presentations, resources, and more.
