10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Holman United Methodist Church
3320 West Adams Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90018
South Los Angeles has long faced a damaging legacy of air pollution, contaminated land, and the location of freeways and industrial pollution next to people’s homes. Everyday residents face the combined impacts of multiple pollution sources, while also dealing with public agencies that fail to protect our health.
Where we live, work, play and worship deeply impacts our health. We invite you to join us in a day of fun, education, and networking with advocates and residents to learn about key environmental health and justice issues in South LA, and what we can do to address them. Together we can learn and take action to make our communities healthier!
This conference is open to residents of South Los Angeles and the staff and members at South LA-based organizations only. Spanish translation will be provided. Breakfast and lunch included.
This event is made possible with generous support from the California Endowment, The 11th Hour Project, and the California Wellness Foundation. Co-sponsored by Black Women for Wellness, Los Angeles Community Action Network, Strategic Actions for a Just Economy, Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education, and Esperanza Community Housing Corporation.
Before registering, please read through PSR-LA’s Photo and Media Release Agreement, which can be found here. Please also read through the conference schedule below. When registering, you will be asked to select which of the Morning and Afternoon Breakout Groups you would like to attend.
