Our Impact
By building relationships with community members and grounding our work in scientific facts and data, we have become a trusted partner in the fight for environmental justice and nuclear disarmament.
PSR-LA empowers health care professionals to become advocates.
PSR-LA presents common-sense public policy recommendations grounded in an equity-driven framework. We have trained thousands of health care professionals across Los Angeles and Southern California to advocate for environmental justice in the communities they serve.
Throughout our history, we have influenced hundreds of pieces of local, state and federal legislation, and our work has been featured in countless news articles, reports, documentaries and more. Our activism has resulted in policies banning new oil drilling sites near Californians’ homes, schools and hospitals; stricter regulation and storage of hazardous chemicals; increased community control in land use planning and development; and the continued phase out of nuclear arms and power.
